All original, freshly serviced and working perfectly: a vintage Swiss Made Portofino De Luxe dresswatch made by International Watch Co. in Schaffhausen (later renamed to IWC Schaffhausen). It features a low-profile 34mm 18k solid yellow gold case, with the original and equally stunning yellow gold "scale" bracelet. The dial is best described as a gold tone colour with radial finish, changing in intensity under different lights.
Inside we find a high quality Swiss Made IWC Cal. 401, a manually wound movement derived from the legendary IWC Cal. 89. The movement was completely stripped down, cleaned and lubricated, and is working perfectly. The watch in its entirety was lovingly restored with eye for authenticity: the case was cleaned but not polished, to maintain its sharp edges and lines. The crown does not bear any logo, but we have no reason to believe that it is not the original one as it is a perfect fit.
The watch is in decent condition considering its age, with visible yet minimal wear marks. Please study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is. We are sure that you like honesty, and so do we. The watch comes fitted to the original solid gold bracelet with signed IWC buckle. Please note that this bracelet is not easily resized, and will best fit a wrist with circumference between 17 and 19cm. The bracelet is however not integrated in the watch case and can always be replaced for a generic strap with 17mm lug width. A generic black leather strap will be included with the watch, as shown in the pictures. There is no paperwork or original box accompanying the watch, but we will provide a custom made watch storage roll to ship it to the buyer safe and sound.
