The watch features a slender gold capped unishell case which measures 34.5mm in diameter and is just 11mm thick. The bezel is crafted from solid 18k yellow gold. The dial on this particular example comes in a creamy off-white/silvery sunburst finish, which has developed some uniform patina over the years. Polished gold tone stick shaped hands indicate the time on gold tone indices. Inside the watch sits a renowned Omega 552 automatic movement, which is freshly serviced and working perfectly. The watch comes on a quality Hirsch "Boston" brown leather strap with quick release spring bars and Hirsch gold plated buckle, ready to wear.
The example sold here has been worn, but is in good condition considering its age. You will find normal wear marks on the case and lugs, but no coarse damage. The case has been cleaned thoroughly, but was left unpolished to maintain its original edges and curves. A brand new Sternkreuz XAG 316.607 plexiglass crystal was fitted, which is identical to Omega's PX5072 crystal minus the Omega hallmark in the center. The crown is original and signed with the Omega logo. The watch face has aged well, with patina in the form of speckles spread out uniformly across the dial. The hands show slight staining and some discolouration of the lume.
Functionally, the watch has received a full service prior to sale and is working perfectly. The movement was entirely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and regulated.
