For sale is a Swiss Made Omega Seamaster 600 men's watch with reference number 135.011, which can be dated back to around 1965 based on the serial number. The 34mm stainless steel case houses a subtle silver sunburst dial. Obélisque type hands indicate the hours, minutes and seconds on non-numeral chrome indices. The crown is original and signed Omega, but might not be the original crown for this reference number. Inside the watch we find a renowned Omega caliber 601 manual winding movement, which has been freshly serviced and is keeping time perfectly. A brand new black perforated leather strap with generic stainless steel buckle compliments the watch.
The example shown here is sold at a bargain price, because of a number of reasons that might otherwise upset collectors. The watch must have sustained minor water damage at one point in its life, which caused a few minor stains on the left hand side of the dial. The crown tube was rusty and has been replaced for an original Omega part. The crown was badly tarnished as well, and was therefore replaced with an original Omega crown. It might however not be the perfectly correct crown for this reference number, but it does fit the case and crown tube perfectly. The glass was replaced for a fitting generic crystal, as an authentic Omega crystal proved impossible to find. The movement also shows some signs of age and moisture, but was disassembled, cleaned and serviced entirely under the watchful eye of Omega Belgium's chef d'atelier. It might not look the prettiest, but it is working as well as it would have from the factory. The sweep seconds hand stutters every once in a while, but this is normal for said caliber and does not affect timekeeping. The case is unpolished and therefore in original shape.
