All original: a vintage Swiss Made Cartier Alarm Clock, also referenced to as a travel clock or desk clock. This piece dates back to the 1980's. Its square front measures 75mm, and is finished in a wonderful combination of gold tone and burgundy enamel. The white enamel dial is finished with the typical black Roman numerals found on a number of Cartier wristwatches. Black diamond style hands indicate the time, with a low profile white hand underneath for the alarm feature.
Inside we find a high quality Swiss Made Quartz movement with an alarm feature. The battery has been replaced and the clock is accurately keeping time. The alarm does chime but is very fiddly to set and appears to be somewhat of a hit or miss, so there might be a bad connection. I would advise against relying on the alarm feature for any important events or appointments.
Considering its age, the desk clock is in great condition. No chips, cracks or other serious damage can be found on the body or dial, and all lettering is still sharp and clear. The crystal has some minor scratches, but is still in good condition as well. The watch comes in its original red "Must de Cartier" box, which safely holds the clock in place while traveling.
