Offered for sale is a vintage Swiss Made Omega Seamaster men's dress watch, dating back to 1984 based on its serial number. It was part of Omega's international line of watches in the mid 1980s, and was referred to as the "Darwin" model. The watch features a refined 33mm gold plated case which measures just over 7mm in thickness. The dial on this particular example comes in a gorgeous glittery speckled finish, which was typical for the Darwin model but is not often found on any other Omega watches. Stick shaped hands indicate the time on gold and black indices, and a calendar window can be found at the 3 O'clock position. Inside the watch sits a renowned Omega 1110 automatic movement, which is working perfectly. The watch comes on a generic dark brown leather strap with generic gold plated buckle, ready to wear.
The example sold here has been worn, which is evident by a fair bit of wear marks on the case. Both the lugs and bezel suffer from fading gold plating, where the base metal underneath shows through. Since said base metal is also yellow-ish, it is not that apparent, but it's definitely there. The watch was once worn on a metal bracelet, and the end links caused some wear marks on the edge and back of the case as well. Said case has been cleaned thoroughly, but left unpolished to maintain its original edges and curves. The sapphire crystal appears to be in good shape still, with no overly apparent scratches present. The crown is original and signed with the Omega logo, but the gold plating on the edge is fading slightly as well. The movement was freshly serviced, and is working perfectly.
