For sale is an intriguing Corum Ingot watch, dating back to 1994. It is aptly named after the 10 gram ingot that acts as a dial for this watch: a 24k solid yellow gold ingot specifically poured by the Union Bank of Switzerland for Corum. The watch face is kept as minimalist as possible to showcase the flow lines and stamp of the ingot. Black baton style hands indicate the time. The watch features a rectangular case measuring 25x35mm, crafted entirely from 18k yellow gold. Inside sits a Corum Cal. 820, a high-quality Swiss made Quartz movement containing 9 jewels. The watch was thoroughly checked, the battery has been replaced, and the watch is functioning correctly.
Fitted to the watch is a generic "crococalf" calfskin leather strap with glossy crocodile look, with the original 18k yellow gold Corum signed buckle. There is no original box, and only limited paperwork: the watch will come accompanied by a certificate from the Union Bank of Switzerland for the gold ingot used as dial dated 9 september 1994, as well as a receipt from a Belgian jeweller for a service under warranty dated september 1998 (not pictured).
The example sold here has been worn throughout its life, but is still in good cosmetic condition with minor wear marks on the case.
