For sale is a Swiss Made Omega De Ville Quartz men's dress watch with reference number 191.8489, dating back to 1982 based on its serial number. It appears to be a fairly rare vintage piece, as it's hard to find identical watches elsewhere. Despite not having the "De Ville" designation on the dial, we can only assume that this watch was once part of Omega's prestigious De Ville line of high quality dress watches.
The watch features a slender 18k solid yellow gold rectangular case, measuring 24.5mm by 29.5mm and just over 5mm thick. It looks to have the exact case design of the infamous Omega "La Magique", but without the transparent dial. The bezel is adorned with an intricately engraved pattern. The case does not have typical lugs, but instead uses a central "T-Bar" design to attach the strap. The dial on this particular example comes in sparkly gold finish with vertical lining, with gold tone Dauphine hands indicating the time on gold tone indices. Inside the watch sits a high quality Omega 1365 quartz movement, which is working perfectly. The crown is original, and not your typical crown either: it is a recessed button to the side of the case, which can be pressed to adjust the hands. The watch comes fitted to a brand new and custom made brown leather strap, as well as a custom made black leather strap which allows the new owner to change things up from time to time. The buckle is original, crafted from solid 18k yellow gold, and with lining matching that of the case design.
The example sold here has been worn throughout its life, but is still in good condition considering its age.
