For sale is a Swiss Made TAG Heuer men's or unisex quartz watch with reference number WA1214, presumably dating back to the late 1990s. The midsize case measures approximately 35x40mm and is just 9mm thick, which is relatively slim for a dive watch with depth rating of 200m. The watch fits into TAG's sports/dive lineup from the late 90s, with a very distinct case shape and lugless transition to the leather strap. Behind the thick mineral crystal sits a matte black dial with thick creamy luminous indices and eggshell coloured luminous hands. A cherry red outer ring adds some nice contrast, and a date window is positioned at the 3 O'clock position.
Surrounding the dial is a black plastic bezel: this was badly scratched due to wear, and was therefore sanded back to a more presentable finish on the lathe. A brand new bezel can be placed upon request. Said bezel rotates in a single direction, with a nice and clicky feel. The bezel is aligned properly, it just was accidentally positioned one click to the right while taking the pictures. The crown is original and boasts the Heuer logo. The watch is powered by a high quality TAG Heuer 2.93 quartz calibre, which is working perfectly. Fitted to the watch comes a generic smooth waterproof black nappa strap, matching nicely with the bezel texture and colour. The buckle is also generic.
The example sold here has been worn, but is still in fair condition. You will find wear marks on the case and bracelet, but no overly coarse damage. The mineral crystal is brand new and therefore free from scratches. As said, the bezel was refinished on the lathe.
