This piece dates back to 1967 based on the serial number, its 18k Yellow Gold case measuring 44mm in diameter and 8mm in thickness. The face features a minimalist silver dial with subtle vertically brushed finish. Black lacquered stick shaped hands and a polished gold tone sweep center seconds hand indicate the time on subtle black indices. Inside the watch we find a high quality Swiss Made Omega Calibre 601, a highly regarded movement which was also used in many of Omega's wrist watches during the 1960s.
The example sold here has been worn, but is in good condition considering its age. You will find wear marks on the case and lugs, but no overly coarse damage. The case has been cleaned entirely, but was left unpolished to maintain its crisp lines and edges as well as its original finish. The watch is completely original, from the Omega signed crown down to the crystal which features the Omega hallmark in the center. Said plexiglass crystal shows a few minor signs of wear, but is in overall good condition given its age.
Functionally, the pocket watch has received a full service prior to sale and is working perfectly. The movement was entirely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and regulated.
