Pontiac may not be as famous since it is a brand with Belgian roots, but its craftsmanship was up to par with that of the more prominent brands of those days. The watch features a gold plated stainless steel case which measures 32.5mm in diameter and just under 10mm thick. The dial on this particular example comes in a stunning gold tone radial sunburst finish, with outer railroad track and intriguing raised indices. Luminous dauphine shaped hands indicate the time. The watch is powered by a renowned Swiss Made ETA 2451 automatic movement, containing 23 jewels. The watch comes with a fitting black leather strap with generic buckle, to complete its vintage looks.
The example sold here has been worn throughout its life, but is still in good condition. The case has been cleaned entirely, but left unpolished to maintain its sharp edges and curves. You will find minor wear marks on the case and lugs, but no coarse damage. A brand new plexiglass crystal was fitted. The stunningly finished rose gold tone movement has been freshly serviced, and is working perfectly.
