This exquisite diamond geometrically-designed Art Deco brooch is crafted out of platinum. This precious metal has only just been introduced in the jewellery industry during this period. This platinum brooch is mounted with ninety-seven old cut diamonds. Which were cut to reflect candle light in the most beautiful ways. Art deco was a popular style movement from the beginning of the 20th century. It was eclectic, art deco is a pastiche of the many different styles that preceded it. It combined previous styles with the new upcoming industrial one which was often contradictory. Traditional motifs were complemented by a tighter look that was influenced by the latest technologies opposed to art nouveau, which was very organic.

Regarding the diamonds, the centre of this marvellous brooch is set with a pretty old European cut diamond with an approx weight of 0,5ct. Thirty-eight of other diamonds set in this brooch are old European cuts and are each between approx 0.17ct and 0.03ct. The other diamonds are single cuts all between 0.03ct and 0.015ct each. The makers of this brooch choose the places well for the old cut diamonds, they are symmetrical set, each corner is set with one, just like the central lines, to ensure this brooch to sparkle as bright as possible. All diamonds are of great colour and clarity.

The closure is a trombone gasp which was mainly used in Europe from the beginning till the mid-20th century. It’s an improved security on the clasp which was more fragile before. Like all things they kept improving the clasps of brooches. Later that century a new clasp was invented as a result of which this clasp was no longer made. This trombone clasp has an extra feature, you have to turn the lock to unlock the sliding function of the brooch. Something we haven't seen before, so this beauty must have been made by a very clever and proud goldsmith, who adores this lovely piece he made. The pin and clasp are working perfectly, The brooch itself is made in Platinum, while the pin itself is made in 18k white gold.

We love this brooch because the open work gives this heavy jewel an airy look. The diamonds and geometric design ensure that this jewel is balanced and peaceful but at the same time striking and dazzling. From classic to modern, festive to casual, this antique brooch can be combined with anything.

For sale is this lovely bulky single Cut diamond ring. This Ruby Tank ring is made in 18 k Yellow gold, which turned some what orangy during the years. It is a great layer of patina and a typical colour of gold for jewels from this period.  It is marked with a Belgian makers mark and a 0,750 mark for 18 karat solid gold. This type of ring is called a Tank ring thanks to to the Tanks of the Second World War. These tank rings where mostly created during the 40's and 50's and are a perfect example of the retro style. They are heavy and voluminous.

Two central lines of diamonds are set in a bow, giving the ring some extra volume. Six baguette cut rubies steals the show on each side of this line. These rubies are set in a yellow gold setting making them pop-out even more. (These gold settings with rubies are kept in place by two screws. One of them is the original one in gold, the other screw has been replaced by its previous owner for a black one.) These pink gemstones are flanked by many single cut diamonds. These diamonds are all set in platinum. They ensure the correct amount of 'sparkle' in their white coloured setting. This wonderful ring is set with a total of 28 natural diamonds that combine for a total weight of approximately 0,8 ct.

These diamonds blend in perfectly with the platinum, making them sparkle even more, and making them appear as one large diamond. In the centre we find the largest bezel set diamond with an approximate weight of 0,2 carats. From this old european diamond, four lines covered with twenty four diamonds turn into a cross as a base. An additional thirty five diamonds adorn the cross, giving it a dazzling look.

This pendant can also be worn as a brooch tanks to the trombone closure and pin on the back. This lovely jewel has beautiful open-work parts. These arise because the main arms of the cross are flanked by extra thin lanes that are attached to the centre cross via geometric filigree decoration. This gorgeous high society opera lorgnette is crafted out of 18 karat solid yellow gold in France. This lovely detailed throughout attribute is engraved by hand and has a very royal appearance. Like most Victorian jewelry, in the center of this glasses-cover we find a graceful flower that is surrounded by elegant and floral curls. The many details and all the extra small engravings ensure that this large pendant is breathtakingly beautiful.

This Victorian heirloom is marked with French eagle heads and a makers mark AG. The glasses itself are in a very good condition considering their age. There are no big scratches in the glass, only some small cut-outs at the edges of the glass as you can see in the pictures. These folding glasses are provided with a hidden activation lever for the spring-load mechanism, so the glasses pop open once you pressed this release clasp.

This type of accessory were a common sight at the opera and theatre during the 19th century. They were the stylish and royal precursor to modern opera glasses. Freely translate the french word lorgnette means 'to eye furtively' meaning it was used for more than only to see the opera itself. Especially by curios rich ladies in the balconies who, due to etiquette, were not allowed to look behind them to discover who entered their box and with whom this new spectator came to see the opera. Therefor they used these glasses as a secret mirror too, using the glasses reflection. I just tried it and I was amazed by the fact that it worked perfectly.

During the Victorian era, there were a lot of jewels made based on nature’s most wonderful scenes. This beautiful jewel is no different. This Victorian brooch is decorated with a ladybird resting on a shield. This shield is flanked by two small but stunning flowers. In the centre of these silver flowers we find two rose cut diamonds. A rose cut diamond is created to reflect candle light on there big facets. Therefore they give a warmer sparkle than modern cut brilliant diamonds.

The detailing of the ladybird itself is also stunning. The body is made out of a red tourmaline cabochon. Over the centre runs a small line made out of 18K rose gold to create the illusion of two separate wing covers. This 18k rose gold is also used to create the small legs of the ladybird. The upper body and head are made out of silver, this upper body is jewelled with two small rose cut diamonds. And last but not least, the eyes of this exquisite ladybird are two small old cut rubies.

This Ruby Tank ring is made in 18 k Yellow gold and marked with a PT99 mark (saying that the white part is patina), a makers mark and a Belgian 0,750 mark. This type of ring is called a Tank ring thanks to to the Tanks of the Second World War. These tank rings where mostly created during the 40's and 50's and are a perfect example of the retro style. They are heavy, voluminous and have often asymmetrical forms.

Three lines set with 12 diamonds steals the show, they sparkle bright in the white patina setting. They are single cut and combine for an approx. weight of 0,36ct. This particular hors-head hallmark is a French hallmark that was set in gold jewelry between 1838 and 1919. Meaning that this pendant is dating back to the French Napoleon III period during English Queen Victoria's reign.

For sale is this stunning Bee brooch. This 18 ct yellow gold beauty is most likely crafted in the Aesthetic period (1880-1901) during queen Victorias reign. This stunner is set with diamonds, rubies and a pearl. The details in this brooch are phenomenal. The wings are wonderfully engraved, the settings of the pearl and rubies are finished with filigree and to ensure the diamonds to sparkle more, they are set in gold covered silver so they blend in perfectly and form a bigger sparkling union.

This stunning brooch is set with twenty marvellous rose cut diamonds. These diamonds were all cut by hand and therefore unique, which makes us loving them even more. But not only the diamonds steel the show, the stunning pearl adds the right amount of class to this brooch. On top of that, two red rubies are used as the eyes of this beauty. These old cut rubies have both a diameter of approx 2,1mm. This lovely bee is not hallmarked, yet we believe it has a Belgian origin. There are 20 diamonds, all rose cut. The fourteen smallest have a diameter of approximately 2 mm, the biggest one in the tail has a diameter of approx 2,7mm and the four in the wings are approx 2,7*2,2 mm. The prettiest and biggest one forming the queens head is approx 3,4*3,4 mm.

For sale is this 18K solid gold cross set with natural diamonds and special cut sapphires. This geometric charm was crafted in the Art Deco period and clearly made with love. Four Sapphires were specially cut for this treasure. They fit perfectly, are still in great condition considering the age of the pendant and are deep blue, triangle shaped and convex.


The centre holds a larger brilliant cut diamond set in a squared platinum setting decorated with small dots. The rest of the cross is set on the arms itself, twenty-eight smaller single cut diamond are placed in line into platinum rectangles to make them appear as one sparkling line. Moreover they added even smaller rose cut diamonds next to the sapphires to make the line as perfect as possible. The bail itself holds one single cut diamond and is attached to a brilliant cut diamond on top of the cross. These platinum parts are decorated with dots and filigree as well. We are thrilled to show you these magnificent Dutch heirlooms. These antique earrings are crafted in 18 karat solid yellow gold with a champagne hue. These earrings were most likely crafted at the end of the 19th century around 1880. They were worn by women in some parts of the Netherlands and represent the rich cultural heritage the Netherlands has to offer.

The rose-yellow gold bases are covered with very well detailled orangy-coloured gold flowers holding a small dot in their center. These two flowers with green-coloured leafs are 3D placed on top of the bases. The top of each earring holds a white natural, claw set pearl. Small dangling pendants at the bottom of the earrings finish the romantic yet playful look. We like to mention that one of the earrings had a little repair done many many years ago as visible in the pictures while the base of the other earring has a little dent. These long earrings are light and therefore the perfect earrings to wear all day long. They will move and swing smoothly while you are walk around to show them off, like they should.

This wonderful Art Deco bar brooch stole our hearts the second we laid eyes on it. This antique brooch features a wonderful oval rose cut diamond in its center. Which was cut to reflect candle light in the most beautiful ways. This lovely gem is flanked by two lines of platinum set with many additional rose cut diamonds, arranged from big to smaller. Art deco was a popular style movement from the beginning of the 20th century. It was eclectic, art deco is a pastiche of the many different styles that preceded it. It combined previous styles with the new upcoming industrial one which was often contradictory. Traditional motifs were complemented by a tighter look that was influenced by the latest technologies opposed to art nouveau, which was very organic.

The closure is a trombone gasp which was mainly used in Europe from the beginning till the mid-20th century. It’s an improved security on the clasp which was more fragile before. Like all things they kept improving the clasps of brooches. Later that century a new clasp was invented as a result of which this clasp was no longer made. The pin and clasp are working perfectly. The brooch itself is made in 18 karat solid yellow gold, while the top of the pin is made out of platinum to make the diamonds appear as one sparkling line.

For sale is this wonderful Gypsy ring made in 18 Karat solid yellow gold and set with two old European cut diamonds and a cabochon deep red coral. The term Gypsy is used for rings that hold stones that are set into the ring. This technique is known as a flush-mount setting. Thanks to the setting, the gemstones and ring are one, it looks like that the diamonds growths inside of the ring. This type of rings has a modern minimal design, yet it finds its origine during the Victorian era and was first popularised by men.

We were and are still blow away by this beauty. This Croix de Jeannette made out of solid 18 karat gold is in excellent condition. A cross of Jeannette is a cross without a Christ which ends turn into fleur-de-lis and often have a flower or dove in its center. Just like this pendant, an enamelled flower ( a white violet) covers one side of the center, while the other side shows the letters A and M intertwined with a heart and cross. These initials represent "Auspice Maria : under the protection of Mary". The ends of the cross show the french lily, while the body of the cross itself is covered with scroll shapes. Four textured spheres are placed between the arms of the cross while three smooth spheres are decorating the ends of the arms.

This rare pendant is not hallmarked, but tested for solid 18 karat gold. This wonderful 18 karat solid gold floral brooch comes directly from the Art Nouveau period. Round in shape, this lovely antique brooch represents a beautiful flower bouquet. The brooch itself is a plain round disc with hand-made engravings set with two little stones, a seed pearl and a red non-gemstone form the head of the flowers. Did you know that this pin is longer than modern pins because the fabrics of clothing from this era was much thicker than modern fabrics? We are delighted to introduce you to this French mid 19th century beauty. This bow shaped brooch is set with antique old mine cut diamonds as well as with rose cut diamonds. A dazzling 98 diamonds were set in this brooch to take your breath away. With the larges eleven in the center. An old mine cut diamond with an approx weight of 0,4 carat is encircled with ten rose cut diamonds. These authentic natural diamonds are all set in silver, backed with gold as was typical at this time. They did this because jewellers believed that silver was the only material able to enhance the beauty of diamonds. We have to admit that it is a wonderful combination and a very recognisable style to this early Victorian era. Onyx jewelry were mostly worn in The Grand Victorian Era, between ca. 1861-1880. In this period Queen Victoria lost her beloved King Albert, therefore mourning jewellery became more popular in this period, since widows were expected to wear full mourning for two years. This would mean that they would only wear black clothes, symbolic of spiritual darkness, just like their jewelry. They had to be as black as possible. The bright buttery gold and white half pearls stand out magically against the dark background they shine like a glimmer of hope in the dark night.

This type of ring is called a Tank ring thanks to to the Tanks of the Second World War. These tank rings where mostly created during the 40's and 50's and are a perfect example of the retro style. They are voluminous and have often symmetrical forms.

A large white pearl is in the centre of the ring. Little rose cut diamonds are set around it, they sparkle bright in their white coloured setting. We are happy to introduce you to this work of art from the Napoleon III period during the late 19th century, also known as the late Victorian period. This floral themed collar brooch is crafted 18 Karat solid gold and features stunning floral shaped decoration and two elegant little pearls. The boarder is a raised, hollow, textured boarder with little crosses on them, typical for jewels made during this period in France. The many small details show how patient they have been in making such a beautiful jewel, purely handmade which still blows our minds.

The brooch is functioning and in good condition considering its age. This antique brooch is equipped with a C closure and a longer pin, typical of late nineteenth century, since clothing was fabricated in thicker materials. This light stunning brooch is hallmarked with a French eagle head and makers mark.

For sale is this 18K solid gold cross set with rose cut diamonds. This geometric charm was crafted in the Art Deco period and clearly made with love. The centre holds a large (4.5mm) rose cut diamond set in a squared platinum setting decorated with small dots. The rest of the cross is set on the arms itself, sixteen smaller rose cut diamond are placed in line into platinum rectangles to make them appear as one sparkling line. These platinum parts are decorated with dots and filigree as well. The bail itself is made out of platinum and set with a small rose cut diamond. This beauty carries no hallmark but has been tested for solid 18 karat gold and platinum.

For sale is this stunning Victorian brooch. This royal diamond brooch was most likely made in Belgium or France in the middle of the 19th century. It is set with exceptionally large rose cut diamonds. These stunning diamonds are in very good condition and foil back set like most diamonds during that period, this is a special technique that was used to bring the lustre of the diamonds to its best quality. A crescent shape set with seven large rose cut diamonds is the central part of this piece. Floral shapes, small hand made engravings and twisted gold ropes finish off the large base of this brooch. Meanwhile small dangling flowers set with tiny rose cut diamonds ensure that this piece is a joyful treasure. This extraordinary brooch is made in 18k yellow gold and is in very good condition considering its age. We choose not to polish it in any way. This results in some parts still having their patina colours which they gained over the years.

We adore this brooch because of all its lustre, moreover what is not to love about this beauty. Furthermore because Victorian jewels like this one, are rather rare as when time passed, most are worn out, were melted or taken apart and re-used for more modern designs. We therefore chose to keep the pendant as is, meaning that we did not clean this beauty although that would be possible. If pleased, we can clean this pendant a bit before shipping it out to give it a better shine.

This wonderful Victorian owl brooch stole our hearts the second we laid eyes on it. This antique brooch features a wonderful owl head with many details making the feathers almost appear to be real. Two antique cut rubies are set in the eyes of the owl which bing the right amount of colour to the brooch. This brooch is in working condition with a safety hook and pin which we believe has been replaced by a newer one by its previous owner. The safety hook has an extra little clip securing the pin itself. This lovely brooch is in very good condition considering its age, yet we like to mention that it has some damage at the top and bottom of the back of the brooch. This is not visible from the front.

In many cultures, owls are believed to possess protective qualities because of their ability to see through the darkness. This has made them symbols of insight and intuition. Owls are often thought to bring good luck to those who need clarity and guidance, particularly in uncertain times.

We are happy to introduce you to this work of art from the Napoleon III period during the late 19th century, also known as the late Victorian period. This floral themed collar brooch is crafted 18 Karat solid gold and features stunning floral shaped decoration and a elegant dangling little pearl. The boarder is a raised, hollow boarder flowing around the three clovers which are the stars of this lovely treasure. The many small details show how patient they have been in making such a beautiful jewel, purely handmade which still blows our minds.

The brooch is functioning and in good condition considering its age. This antique brooch is equipped with a C closure and a longer pin, typical of late nineteenth century, since clothing was fabricated in thicker materials. This light stunning brooch is hallmarked with a French eagle head and makers mark.

This wonderful Art Deco bar brooch stole our hearts the second we laid eyes on it. This antique brooch features three wonderful old European cut diamonds. Which were cut to reflect candle light in the most beautiful ways. Art deco was a popular style movement from the beginning of the 20th century. It was eclectic, art deco is a pastiche of the many different styles that preceded it. It combined previous styles with the new upcoming industrial one which was often contradictory. Traditional motifs were complemented by a tighter look that was influenced by the latest technologies opposed to art nouveau, which was very organic.

Regarding the diamonds, the centre of this lovely brooch is set with a pretty old European cut diamond with an approx weight of 0,17ct. Four rose cut diamonds flan this stone, to be flanked in turn by two single old cut diamonds. These two diamonds have a combined weight of approx. 0,06ct. We love honesty, and therefore like to mention that one of the smaller diamonds is a bit damaged at the top, a part is chipped off, this  is not that visible with the naked eye, yet we prefer to let you know.

The closure is a trombone gasp which was mainly used in Europe from the beginning till the mid-20th century. It’s an improved security on the clasp which was more fragile before. Like all things they kept improving the clasps of brooches. Later that century a new clasp was invented as a result of which this clasp was no longer made. The pin and clasp are working perfectly, not to say very well since the closure is a little stubborn and therefore very sturdy. The brooch itself is made in yellow gold, while the top of the pin is plated with rhodium to give it a white gold look.

We love this brooch because the open work gives this heavy jewel an airy look. The diamonds and geometric design ensure that this jewel is balanced and peaceful but at the same time striking and dazzling. From classic to modern, festive to casual, this antique brooch can be combined with anything.

We are delighted to present this extraordinary pendant, our heart literally skipped a beat when we laid our eyes on it for the first time, and keeps on doing it every time we look at it. This beautiful treasure is full of hidden meanings depicting the holy communion with Jesus Christ on the front. While a dove, grain, lamb and grapes are visible on the back.

As said, one side of the charm shows a relief scene of Jesus, often associated with baptism or holy communion themes. Jesus is pictured in front of an aureola while he breaks the bread. The gemstones are set in silver backed with gold as was typical at this time because jewellers believed that silver was the only material able to enhance the beauty of diamonds. We have to admit that it is a wonderful combination and a very recognisable combination to this Georgian era. For sale is this lovely bulky Rose Cut diamond ring. This Tank ring is made in 18 k Yellow gold and set with two larger rose cut diamonds. This type of ring is called a Tank ring thanks to to the Tanks of the Second World War. These tank rings where mostly created during the 40's and 50's, as is this one, it is a perfect example of the retro style. In the middle between the two large diamonds there is a central vertical line with some additional rose cut diamonds that steal the show. It are eight smaller rose cut diamonds that give the ring some extra sparkle in their white coloured setting. We adore this marvellous ring. It is Bombastic, yet elegant and holds one of our favorite diamonds, rose cuts.

This wonderful Victorian eagle brooch stole our hearts the second we laid eyes on it. This antique brooch features a wonderful flying eagle and we believe that it is marked with a French horse head, yet it is only a very small part of it that is visible so we can't be 100% sure, we therefore spectro tested it for 18karat gold. This particular hors-head hallmark is a French hallmark that was set in gold jewelry between 1838 and 1919. An antique cut ruby set in the snakes head bings the right amount of colour to the brooch. This brooch is in working condition with a safety hook and pin. This lovely brooch is in very good condition considering its age, it has a little hook at the bottom to attach a small pocket watch or a pendant. On top of that it has a small hoop at the eagles mouth so you can attach a pearl or small charm there.
