For sale is this lovely bulky asymmetric ring. This Ruby Tank ring is made in 18 k Yellow gold and marked with a PT99 mark (saying that the white part is patina), a makers mark and a Belgian 0,750 mark. This type of ring is called a Tank ring thanks to to the Tanks of the Second World War. These tank rings where mostly created during the 40's and 50's and are a perfect example of the retro style. They are heavy, voluminous and have often asymmetrical forms.
Three lines set with 12 diamonds steals the show, they sparkle bright in the white patina setting. They are single cut and combine for an approx. weight of 0,36ct. Two carré cut rubies flank these lovely diamonds, they bring the right amount of colour and spectacle to this tank ring. We absolutely adore this marvellous ring. It is Bombastic, yet elegant and colourful.
- Head of ring sits approximately 6,5 mm off the finger.
- The Ring shank is 4,8 mm wide.
- The ring head is 11,7 mm wide and 23,4 mm long.
- The ring size is 5 1/4 US - 50,5 FR but can be resized a bit by a skilled goldsmith.
