For sale is this Victorian reverse intaglio pin depicting a dog (most likely a French Bulldog) standing on grass. This antique 18 karat solid gold brooch is adorned with an Essex crystal. This is a clear crystal cabochon which is carved out from the flat back side, then painted by hand within the cavity, and backed with mother-of-pearl to give the miniature dog portrait a lovely 3D effect. We truly adore it. Not only the painting is exquisite, the design of the pin itself is it as well. The maker chose a now very warm patina coloured gold that is shaped into a belt encircling the crystal. This treasure is not hallmarked (like most jewelry from this era that find their origin in Belgium.) so we spectro tested it to verify its purity without damaging it.

We are happy to introduce you to this work of art from the Napoleon III period during the late 19th century, also known as the Victorian period. This collar brooch is crafted 18 karat solid gold and features stunning floral shapes. In its centre we find an enamel adorned oval. This black and white enamel makes the hand engraved floral artwork pop out. This specific enamel pallet in combination with the warm gold was mainly used in the France during the 1850s and 60's. The many small details show how patient they have been in making such a beautiful jewel, purely handmade which still blows our minds.

Three small hoops at the bottom of the brooch were used to give the owner of the brooch many ways to wear the brooch. Plain in day time and with dangling pearls for example at night. It was quite in fashion to have modular jewels back in that period in time.

The brooch is functioning and in very good condition considering its age. This antique brooch is equipped with a C closure and a long pin typical of late nineteenth century, since clothing was fabricated in thicker materials. This light stunning brooch is hallmarked with a French horse head. This particular hors-head hallmark is a French hallmark that was set in gold jewelry between 1838 and 1919. Meaning that this pendant is dating back to the French Napoleon III period during English Queen Victoria's reign.

During the Victorian era, there were a lot of jewels made based on nature’s most wonderful scenes. This beautiful jewel is no different. This Victorian brooch is decorated with a ladybird resting on a shield. This shield is flanked by two small but stunning flowers. In the centre of these silver flowers we find two rose cut diamonds. A rose cut diamond is created to reflect candle light on there big facets. Therefore they give a warmer sparkle than modern cut brilliant diamonds.

The detailing of the ladybird itself is also stunning. The body is made out of a red tourmaline cabochon. Over the centre runs a small line made out of 18K rose gold to create the illusion of two separate wing covers. This 18k rose gold is also used to create the small legs of the ladybird. The upper body and head are made out of silver, this upper body is jewelled with two small rose cut diamonds. And last but not least, the eyes of this exquisite ladybird are two small old cut rubies.

On the side of the little c-clasp on the back, we find an eagle stamp. This hallmark is only used by French goldsmiths and was introduced in 1838. Since the jewel comes from the time when Queen Victoria reigned, we can also state that this brooch was made by hand. This wonderful Art Deco bar brooch stole our hearts the second we laid eyes on it. This antique brooch features three wonderful old European cut diamonds. Which were cut to reflect candle light in the most beautiful ways. Art deco was a popular style movement from the beginning of the 20th century. It was eclectic, art deco is a pastiche of the many different styles that preceded it. It combined previous styles with the new upcoming industrial one which was often contradictory. Traditional motifs were complemented by a tighter look that was influenced by the latest technologies opposed to art nouveau, which was very organic.

Regarding the diamonds, the centre of this lovely brooch is set with a pretty old European cut diamond with an approx weight of 0,17ct. Four rose cut diamonds flan this stone, to be flanked in turn by two single old cut diamonds. These two diamonds have a combined weight of approx. 0,06ct. We love honesty, and therefore like to mention that one of the smaller diamonds is a bit damaged at the top, a part is chipped off, this  is not that visible with the naked eye, yet we prefer to let you know.

The closure is a trombone gasp which was mainly used in Europe from the beginning till the mid-20th century. It’s an improved security on the clasp which was more fragile before. Like all things they kept improving the clasps of brooches. Later that century a new clasp was invented as a result of which this clasp was no longer made. The pin and clasp are working perfectly, not to say very well since the closure is a little stubborn and therefore very sturdy. The brooch itself is made in yellow gold, while the top of the pin is plated with rhodium to give it a white gold look.

We love this brooch because the open work gives this heavy jewel an airy look. The diamonds and geometric design ensure that this jewel is balanced and peaceful but at the same time striking and dazzling. From classic to modern, festive to casual, this antique brooch can be combined with anything.

This wonderful Victorian owl brooch stole our hearts the second we laid eyes on it. This antique brooch features a wonderful owl head with many details making the feathers almost appear to be real. Two antique cut rubies are set in the eyes of the owl which bing the right amount of colour to the brooch. This brooch is in working condition with a safety hook and pin which we believe has been replaced by a newer one by its previous owner. The safety hook has an extra little clip securing the pin itself. This lovely brooch is in very good condition considering its age, yet we like to mention that it has some damage at the top and bottom of the back of the brooch. This is not visible from the front.

In many cultures, owls are believed to possess protective qualities because of their ability to see through the darkness. This has made them symbols of insight and intuition. Owls are often thought to bring good luck to those who need clarity and guidance, particularly in uncertain times.

It is set with exceptionally large rose cut diamonds. These stunning diamonds are in very good condition and foil back set like most diamonds during that period, this is a special technique that was used to bring the lustre of the diamonds to its best quality. A crescent shape set with seven large rose cut diamonds is the central part of this piece. Floral shapes, small hand made engravings and twisted gold ropes finish off the large base of this brooch. Meanwhile small dangling flowers set with tiny rose cut diamonds ensure that this piece is a joyful treasure. This extraordinary brooch is made in 18k yellow gold and is in very good condition considering its age. We choose not to polish it in any way. This results in some parts still having their patina colours which they gained over the years.

We adore this brooch because of all its lustre, moreover what is not to love about this beauty. Furthermore because Victorian jewels like this one, are rather rare as when time passed, most are worn out, were melted or taken apart and re-used for more modern designs. We therefore chose to keep the pendant as is, meaning that we did not clean this beauty although that would be possible. If pleased, we can clean this pendant a bit before shipping it out to give it a better shine.

This type of ring is called a Tank ring thanks to to the Tanks of the Second World War. These tank rings where mostly created during the 40's and 50's and are a perfect example of the retro style. They are heavy, voluminous and have often symmetrical forms.

We were and are still blow away by this beauty. This Croix de Jeannette made out of solid 18 karat gold is in excellent condition. A cross of Jeannette is a cross without a Christ which ends turn into fleur-de-lis and often have a flower or dove in its center. Just like this pendant, an enamelled flower ( a white violet) covers one side of the center, while the other side shows the letters A and M intertwined with a heart and cross. These initials represent "Auspice Maria : under the protection of Mary". The ends of the cross show the french lily, while the body of the cross itself is covered with scroll shapes. Four textured spheres are placed between the arms of the cross while three smooth spheres are decorating the ends of the arms.

This rare pendant is not hallmarked, but tested for solid 18 karat gold. It was most likely made in France in the 19th century and worn by a young girl who bought it with her first wages on Saint-Jean day. It is therefore called a 'jeannette" and represent the transformation from child to adult, but also Christian faith and financial independence through work.

This marvellous floral ring is made in 18 karat solid yellow gold and set with little but romantic rose cut diamonds. These diamonds where set in the shape of a flower with eight petals. The centre of the ring  holds a white pearl. The ring is in ok condition, but has some small flaws. Moreover, none of the diamonds is in mint condition. But this beauty is authentic and old and that makes that we absolutely adore it. This ring is most likely crafted around 1890 in Belgium during English Queen Victoria's reign. There are some traces of wear because of its age and the fact that this ring is a beauty which is most likely loved a lot by its previous owners. We are pleased to offer you this stunning solid gold diamond set cross. This marvellous religious pendant is crafted in 18 karat white gold and dipped in platinum to give it an even whiter appearance. It is set with a total of 60 natural diamonds. These diamonds blend in perfectly with the platinum, making them sparkle even more, and making them appear as one large diamond. In the centre we find the largest bezel set diamond with an approximate weight of 0,2 carats. From this old european diamond, four lines covered with twenty four diamonds turn into a cross as a base. An additional thirty five diamonds adorn the cross, giving it a dazzling look.

This pendant can also be worn as a brooch tanks to the trombone closure and pin on the back. This lovely jewel has beautiful open-work parts. These arise because the main arms of the cross are flanked by extra thin lanes that are attached to the centre cross via geometric filigree decoration. We are happy to introduce you to this work of art from the Napoleon III period during the late 19th century, also known as the late Victorian period. This floral star themed collar brooch is crafted 18 Karat solid gold and features stunning floral hand engraved decoration. In the centre of this beauty, we find a greyish half pearl, encircled by a star shaped engraving. This lovely round base is encircled with many little pearls. Some of them are set in little rounds, while others are set in marvellous little star. These stars are alternated with greenish gold flowers with a lot of detail. The many small details show how patient they have been in making such a beautiful jewel, purely handmade which still blows our minds.

The brooch is functioning and in good condition considering its age, yet we like to let you know that there is a crack in the centre, as clearly visible in the pictures. This antique brooch is equipped with a C closure and a longer pin, typical of late nineteenth century, since clothing was fabricated in thicker materials. This light stunning brooch is not hallmarked but spectro tested for 18k gold.

For sale is this French charm depicting a "13". This antique good luck charm is crafted in 18k solid yellow gold. It's made with love and hallmarked with a French eagle head mark. The 13 is cut out and adorned by hand, while the horse shoe is hollow and therefore a bit dented as visible in the pictures. The seven little hand cut european rubies are all a bit chipped but still a wonderful addition to this charm.

We are thrilled to show you these magnificent Dutch heirlooms. These small antique earrings are crafted in 18 karat solid yellow gold with a champagne hue. These earrings were most likely crafted at the end of the 19th century around 1880. They were worn by women in some parts of the Netherlands and represent the rich cultural heritage the Netherlands has to offer.

The rose-yellow gold bases are covered with very well detailled orangy-coloured gold flowers holding a small sparkling paste stone. These two flowers with green-coloured leafs are 3D placed on top of the bases. The top of each earring holds a white natural, claw set pearl. Small dangling pendants at the bottom of the earrings finish the romantic yet playful look. These dangling earrings are light and therefore the perfect earrings to wear all day long. For sale is this Marvellous 18 K gold and silver Victorian brooch. This piece was crafted during the 19th century in France and is therefor also called a Napoleon III jewel. This stunning floral themed bar brooch is set with a bright blue sapphire, which give this beauty a strong and attractive appearance. Small but breath taking rose cut diamonds form a halo around this sapphire bringing the right amount of sparkles to this elegant brooch. On top of that, the whole bar is set with these lovely diamonds. 

A French eagle head is struck in the pin of the brooch, telling us that a part of this marvellous brooch was made in France out of 18k rose gold. This gold base is covered with silver. This lovely medallion depicts a small cross and minus in the places of the words 'plus' and 'moins'. The cross is set with a small but sparkly single cut diamond while the minus is set with two synthetic rubies. When we look closely we see a small inscription in the medallion. Namely A.Augis, which stands for Alphonse Augis. He was a famous jeweller from Lyon who started making these types of love medallions.

We are delighted to introduce this lovely 18 karat yellow gold patina medal featuring a chalice, which is a cup often use for drinking during a religious ceremony. A host marked with the letters JHS and a cross is sparkling above it. This antique pendant is flanked with a very detailled floral border, scrolls and adorned with hand made engravings of grain and grapes. This royal charm is hallmarked but it is blurry, so we tested it for 18 karat gold. The back of this marvellous charm is engraved with the date 10 May 1902 and the letters G V.

For sale is this 18 karat solid yellow gold bracelet consisting of 4 woven gold chains with a gold clasp that blends into the design and from which hang gold tassels in the shape of acorns. The clasp goes around a bend circle and has a safety clasp. Acorns are a symbol of new beginnings and personal growth because of the proverb "From little acorns, mighty oaks grow.".

This marvellous design was also used by Cartier and Chaumet, it was typical for the 1950's. This mid century treasure is hallmarked with a 0,750 mark and a makers mark. It comes with its original box from M. Lascar.
