Said dial is finished with matching gold tone accents as well as a date window at the 3 O'clock position. The watch is powered by a renowned Swiss Made AS 1717 automatic movement, containing 21 jewels. The watch comes with a fitting blue leather strap with generic buckle, to complete its vintage looks.

The example sold here has been worn throughout its life, but is still in good condition. The case has been cleaned entirely, but left unpolished to maintain its sharp edges and curves. For sale is a Swiss Made Omega Constellation Automatic Chronometer men's watch with reference number ST 168.017 SP, dating back to around 1966. The Constellation like, or "Connies" as Omega enthusiasts fondly refer to them, were one of the finest and most accurate lines of watches available at the time and catered for various budgets and tastes. The watch design drastically changed in 1964 with the introduction of the so-called "C-shaped" case. The new design reflected the emerging trend of the 1960s toward bigger watches. The revised Connie had a minimalist dial and the lugs were fully integrated, maximising the impression of a larger case.

This is an example of such iconic watch with a C-Shape case designed by Géralt Genta, who is known for designing some of the most prominent watches out today (Patek Philippe Nautilus, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, ...). The case itself is made of polished stainless steel. The crown is original and bears the Omega logo. The dial on this particular example comes in a gorgeous dark grey sunburst finish, and features a date window at the 3 O'Clock position. The date can be quickly adjusted by repeatedly pulling the crown. Inside the watch we find a caliber 564 automatic movement that is chronometer certified. To increase its precision, the movement has been adjusted to five positions as well as temperature. On the back of the case we find the famous medallion featuring an Observatory of Geneva crowned by a Constellation of eight stars, evoking the numerous exploits of Omega in world chronometer competition.

The crown is original bearing the Omega logo, as well as the glass which has the Omega Hallmark in the center. All original, freshly serviced and working perfectly: a vintage Swiss Made Cortébert pocket watch. This piece was commissioned by the Turkish Railway company (TCDD) as shown by the beautiful decoration on the back of the stainless steel case. The front features a white dial with Arabic numerals, blue accents and Breguet style hands. A sub dial at the 6 O'Clock position counts down the seconds.

Inside we find a high quality Swiss Made Unitas 6497 movement, which is still in production to this day under the ETA 6497 brand. It is the same movement used in a number of larger high quality wristwatches, such as Omega, Hamilton and Panerai.

The watch was lovingly restored with eye for authenticity. Its movement was completely disassembled, cleaned and lubricated, and is now working perfectly for years to come. The outside case has been cleaned entirely as well, and a brand new crystal was fitted. A small blemish can be found on the dial to the left of the number "3", any other damage is strictly limited to acceptable wear marks.
