Offered for sale is a vintage Swiss Made Eterna Eterna-Matic 1000 men's dress watch with reference 106FT/1 (1 indicating stainless steel, 06 a round case, F a flat configuration and T a waterproof case), presumably dating back to 1966 based on its serial number. The watch features a 37.5mm stainless steel case measuring just under 11mm in thickness. Said case houses a creamy silver sunburst dial with raised black and polished steel indices, on which quirky black lacquered hands indicate the time. A date window can be found at 3 o'clock, which can be quickly adjusted by repeatedly pulling the original signed crown.
Power comes from the Eterna calibre 1489K, a high-quality automatic movement that was developed in-house in the 1960s. The watch was lovingly restored with an eye for authenticity and has received a full service prior to being listed for sale. The movement was completely stripped down, cleaned and lubricated, and is currently working perfectly.
The watch has been worn throughout its life but remains in decent condition considering its age. The case shows normal signs of wear but no excessive damage. Said case was cleaned but deliberately left unpolished to preserve its original sharp edges and lines. The original crown is signed with Eterna's iconic "five dots" logo, and the crystal has been replaced with a brand new one. The dial remains in decent condition given its age, with a few minor marks : most notably some circular traces where the hands have made contact at one point. Please study the photographs carefully, as they accurately represent the condition of the watch without digital enhancements. We are sure that you appreciate honesty, and so do we.
