For sale is a rare Swiss Made Jaeger-LeCoultre "Albatros" men's dress watch with reference number 160.022.5 or 3160.022.5, presumably dating back to the mid-1980s. The watch features a slender stainless steel rounded hexagonal case measuring 34mm in diameter and just 6.5mm in thickness, complemented by a solid 18k yellow gold bezel. Behind the sapphire crystal sits a beautiful silver dial with linen texture and gold tone indices, on which matching gold and black lacquered hands indicate the time. A date window is positioned at 3 o'clock, which can be quickly adjusted using the original signed crown. Inside the watch sits the high-quality Jaeger-LeCoultre calibre 625, a Swiss Made quartz movement. Functionally, the watch was checked, received a new battery and is accurately keeping time down to a very impressive 0,01 seconds per day or 0.30 seconds per month.
The example offered here has been worn throughout its life, but is still in good condition considering its age. The case and bracelet show normal signs of wear, but no deep scratches, dents or excessive damage. The case has been deliberately left unpolished to preserve its original sharp edges, lines and finish. The sapphire crystal appears free from scratches under normal inspection, while the dial and hands are exceptionally well preserved.
