For sale is a vintage Swiss Made Tissot pocket watch with reference number Y511.210, believed to date from the mid-2000s. The dial reads "Chs. Tissot et Fils", an homage to Charles-Félicien Tissot, who founded the company in 1853. It features a glossy white finish with black Arabic numerals, blued Breguet-style hands, and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock. It is housed in a 48mm gold-plated stainless steel open face case.
Inside is a high-quality Swiss Made ETA 6497 movement, a modern continuation of the legendary Unitas 6497: this same movement is still in production today, and can be found in a number of larger high quality wristwatches, such as Omega, Hamilton and Panerai. The movement has been thoroughly checked and is currently functioning correctly; no service was deemed necessary.
The pocket watch is in very good overall condition, showing only minimal signs of wear. It appears to have seen very little use, with the marks present most likely caused by years of storage. The case has been cleaned but otherwise left untouched, and the plexiglass crystal remains free from visible scratches. The dial is in great condition as well, with no chips or cracks and sharp, clear lettering. Please study the photographs carefully, as they accurately represent the condition of the watch without digital enhancements. We are sure that you appreciate honesty, and so do we.
