For sale is a rare Swiss Made Omega Seamaster Professional Diver 300M men's watch with caseback references 178.0504 / 378.0504, most likely also referred to as 2398.20.00 or 2498.20.00 in Omega's more modern reference number format. Dating back to the early 1990s, it features a 41.5mm stainless steel case and an 18k yellow gold unidirectional bezel. The dial is finished in a distinctive creamy white wave pattern with bright luminous applied indices and contrasting orange accents on the sub hands and minute track. Luminous hands indicate the time, while a date window is positioned at 3 o'clock. Both the screw-down crown and helium escape valve are original and decorated with the Omega logo.
Inside beats the renowned Omega calibre 1154 automatic chronograph movement with chronometer certification. It is based on the legendary ETA/Valjoux 7750 architecture, used by many respected Swiss manufacturers and known for its reliability. Functionally, the watch has received a full service by our professional watchmaker. The movement was completely stripped down, cleaned and lubricated, and is currently working perfectly.
The example offered here has been worn throughout its life, but remains in good cosmetic condition considering its age. The case and bracelet show normal signs of wear, but no overly coarse damage. The case has been cleaned but was deliberately left unpolished to preserve its original edges, curves and finish. The bracelet has been lightly refinished to restore the appearance of its brushed and polished surfaces. The sapphire crystal appears free from scratches to the naked eye. The dial remains in excellent condition, with uniform aging visible in the lume on the hands and indices. The watch is fitted with its original 1504/826 Seamaster stainless steel bracelet, complete with signed clasp and diver extension. Said bracelet currently fits wrists up to approximately 17cm in circumference without using the diving extension, which adds roughly 3cm. The size can easily be reduced by removing links; to extend the bracelet, additional links will need to be sourced online or through an Omega dealership. Sold as watch only; unfortunately, no original box or paperwork are included.
