For sale is a fairly rare Swiss Made Omega Seamaster Professional Diver 300M men's watch with reference number 178.0504/378.0504 in the case back, most likely also referred to as 2398.20.00 or 2498.20.00 in Omega's more modern reference number format. It presumably dates back to the early 1990s, and features a 41.5mm stainless steel case with 18k yellow gold unidirectional bezel. The dial on this particular example is finished in a creamy white tone with wavy texture and bright luminous indices, with contrasting orange accents on the sub dial hands and rehaut. Luminous hands indicate the time, and a calendar window can be found at the 3 o'clock position. Both the screw-down crown and helium escape valve are original and decorated with the Omega symbol. Fitted to the watch comes the original 1504/826 Seamaster stainless steel bracelet with signed clasp and diver extension. Inside the watch sits a renowned Omega Caliber 1154 chronometer automatic chronograph movement, which is working perfectly.
The example sold here has been worn throughout its life, but is still in decent cosmetic condition. You will certainly find normal wear marks on the case and bracelet, but no overly coarse damage. Said case has been cleaned entirely, but was left unpolished to maintain its sharp edges, curves and original finish. The bracelet was lightly touched up on the polishing wheel, to give the polished and brushed surfaces their original pop. The sapphire crystal looks unscathed to the naked eye. The dial is in great condition as well, although the lume on both the dial and hands has some uniform staining. Please study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is. We are sure that you like honesty, and so do we. Functionally, the watch has received a full service by our professional watchmaker and is running perfectly.
Please do note that the bracelet is currently sized to fit wrists with a maximum circumference of around 17cm excluding the diving extension (which adds 3cm). Decreasing the size is fairly easily done by removing some links. In order to increase the size, spare bracelet links will have to be sourced online or at an Omega dealership. Sold as watch only: sadly no original box or paperwork are present with this piece.
