For sale is a Swiss Made Breitling Professional B-1 Chronometer men's watch with reference A68362, presumably dating back to the early 2000s. The watch features a substantial 43mm stainless steel case measuring approximately 17mm in thickness. It boasts a water resistance rating of 50 metres, in part thanks to the helium escape valve on the left hand side of the case. Behind the sapphire crystal sits a stunning deep blue dial with polished steel accents. Luminous indices, numerals and hands ensure excellent legibility in low-light conditions.
Interestingly, two integrated LCD screens are positioned within the analogue dial: they provide a wide range of functions including alarm, day, date, chronograph, countdown timer, second time zone with alarm and UTC display. All of these features are controlled by the crown, which acts as both a regular crown and push button. The brains behind these features can be found in the Breitling calibre 68, a precision Swiss Made quartz movement with Chronometre rating. Functionally, the watch has been thoroughly checked prior to sale and all features are working correctly.
The example sold here has been worn throughout its life but remains in good cosmetic condition. The case and bracelet show normal signs of wear, but no overly coarse damage. The case has been thoroughly cleaned but deliberately left unpolished to preserve its original edges, curves and finish. The bracelet has been lightly refinished to restore the appearance of its brushed and polished surfaces. The sapphire crystal appears free from scratches to the naked eye. The watch is fitted with its original stainless steel Breitling "Fighter" bracelet with signed clasp. Said bracelet is currently sized for wrists up to approximately 19cm. In order to increase the size, spare bracelet links will have to be sourced online or at a Breitling dealership. Alternatively, thanks to its standard 22mm lug width, the bracelet can easily be exchanged for a different strap or bracelet to completely change the appearance of the watch. Sold as watch only; unfortunately, no original box or paperwork are included.
