For sale is a Swiss Made Cartier "Must de Cartier 21" watch with reference number 9010, presumably dating back to the early 1990s. This iconic design features a round 28mm case with an oversize fixed two-tone bezel, decorated with Roman numerals in typical Cartier fashion. Behind the mineral crystal sits a matte creamy off-white dial with blued steel hands indicating the hours and minutes. The crown is original and features the trademark blue sapphire cabochon stone. Inside, we find a Swiss Made Cartier Calibre 690, a high quality quartz movement with 7 jewels which is working perfectly.
The example sold here has been worn, but is still in good condition. You will certainly find wear marks on the case and bracelet, but no overly coarse damage. Most notable is some fading to the gold plated links of the bracelet, as well as visible scratches to the bezel surface. The watch was purposefully left unpolished in order to maintain its orginal edges, curves and surface finish. The mineral crystal is brand new and free from any scratches. Please study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is. We are sure that you like honesty, and so do we. Functionally, the watch was checked, received a new battery and is accurately keeping time with less than 1 second per day deviation. The watch comes fitted to its original two-tone stainless steel and gold plated bracelet with hidden folding clasp. Please be aware that said bracelet is currently sized to fit a wrist with maximum circumference of around 17cm. Resizing the bracelet to fit smaller wrists can easily be done by removing some links. In order to increase the size of the bracelet past 17cm, extra bracelet links will have to be sourced online or at a dealership.
