For sale is a Swiss Made Cartier Tank Française, a vintage ladies' watch dating back to 1998. This elegant cocktail watch features a rectangular 20mm by 25mm case crafted entirely from 18k solid yellow gold. The silver dial is decorated with cursive Roman numerals, typical for Cartier. Blue sword shaped hands indicate the time. The case seamlessly flows over into the original (removable, not integrated) 18k yellow gold bracelet. The double-fold buckle is crafted from 18k gold as well, and signed with the signature Cartier logo and hallmarks. A precise Swiss Made Cartier Cal. 016 quartz movement animates the Cartier Tank Française.
The watch was serviced by Cartier prior to listing it for sale. Said service included a full movement replacement, water resistance renewal and replacement of the sapphire crystal. The outside case has been cleaned entirely, but left unpolished to maintain its original sharp edges and curves. You will therefore find some wear marks on the case and bracelet, but these superficial scratches could easily be polished out if desired. Please study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is. Please note that the bracelet will currently fit wrists with a maximum circumference of approximately 16cm at maximum. In order to extend the bracelet size past 16cm, spare links will have to be sourced online or at a dealership. The original box is missing, but a Must de Cartier box will be included. Otherwise the watch comes complete with all of its paperwork: a warranty certificate dating back to June 1998, a service centre booklet, and the user manual in its red Cartier folder. The Cartier service pouch and service documents will also be added to the package.
