For sale is a lovely vintage Breitling SuperOcean Professional Automatic men's dive watch, dating back to around 2003 based on information from the original owner. The watch features a 41mm stainless steel case with the distinctive unidirectional Breitling rider tab bezel design. It comes with a matte black dial that changes into a dark gray colour depending on the lighting conditions. Said dial features luminous indices and hands, as well as a calendar window at 3 O'clock. As indicated on the dial, the watch boasts a hefty water resistance up to 1524m/5000ft, in part thanks to the screw-down crown and helium valve. Said crown is original and signed with the typical Breitling "B" logo. Fitted to the watch is its original stainless steel Breitling "Professional" bracelet with signed clasp and built-in dive extension. The watch is powered by Breitling's calibre 17, a precision Swiss Made automatic movement which is accurately keeping time.
The example sold here has been worn throughout its life, but is still in good cosmetic condition. You will find wear marks on both the case and bracelet, but no coarse damage: most notable are the scratches on the buckle. The crystal looks to be relatively unscathed, with a few minor marks to the anti-reflective coating. Please study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is. We are sure that you like honesty, and so do we. Functionally, the watch was thoroughly checked by our professional watchmaker, and is running perfectly with a healthy amplitude. Please note that the bracelet will currently fit wrists with a maximum circumference of approximately 18.5cm. In order to extend the bracelet size past 18.5cm, spare links will have to be sourced online or at a dealership. Alternatively, the diver extension clasp can be opened to add another 3cm of bracelet length.
