For sale is what could be considered a "newtimer" under the Breitling chronograph watches: a Chronomat GT, produced between 1997 and 2000. The "GT" version of the Chronomat is easily recognised by the thick bezel surrounding the sub dials. The watch face features a gorgeous bright white dial with deep blue sub dials, a rare combination that is not often found for sale. The stainless steel bezel surrounding the 39mm case rotates in a single direction, and features the typical Chronomat rider tabs. Inside we find a Breitling 13 Calibre, which is an automatic movement known to be an absolute workhorse. In part thanks to its original screw-down crown, the watch features 100M of water resistance.
The watch is sold as pre-owned, however it still is in decent shape. Both the bracelet and case show general wear marks, but no overly coarse damage. Some polishing could easily resolve this, but the watch is offered for sale in unpolished state. The sapphire crystal appears to be unscathed to the naked eye. Please do study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is. We are sure that you like honesty, and so do we. The movement was freshly serviced, and is working perfectly.
The watch comes fitted to the original steel "Pilot" bracelet with Breitling signed folding clasp. Please note that the bracelet will currently fit wrists with a circumference of approximately 17cm at maximum. Decreasing the size is easily done by removing some bracelet links. In order to extend the bracelet size past the current maximum of 17cm, spare links will have to be sourced online or at a dealership. Alternatively, any generic strap with 20mm lug width can be fitted to accommodate any wrist size. The watch comes accompanied by a Breitling service pouch and cloth, but sadly no original box or paperwork are present with this piece.
