Up for sale is this rare and vintage Swiss Made Omega ladies' cocktail watch with reference number 591.955, presumably dating back to 1984 based on its serial number. The Marquise-like shaped watch case measures approximately 20mm wide by 24mm high and just over 5mm thick, is crafted from solid 18k yellow gold, and seamlessly flows over into the integrated yellow gold bracelet. The bezel of the watch is adorned with 28 brilliant cut diamonds totalling approximately 0.4ct. The dial features a lovely texture with white and gold vertical lining, while gold tone Dauphine hands indicate the time on raised Roman numerals.
Behind the solid gold case back is the beating heart of this watch: the Omega 1450, an early in-house quartz movement containing 10 jewels. Thanks to the incorporation of this movement, the watch case can be kept as refined as it is. Adjusting the time is done using the original crown, signed with the Omega logo.
The watch is sold as pre-owned and vintage, however it still is in good condition considering its age. You will find wear marks on the case and bracelet, but no coarse damage. The case has been cleaned thoroughly, but was left unpolished to maintain its original edges and curves. The sapphire crystal looks unscathed to the naked eye. All gemstones are original and undamaged. The dial shows minor signs of aging, but has otherwise stood the test of time well.
