Up for sale is this rare and vintage Swiss Made 18k White Gold Ladies' cocktail watch with reference 7280, made by Omega and dating back to 1972 based on its serial number. The watch case measures approximately 20mm in diameter, is crafted from solid 18k white gold, and seamlessly flows over into the stunning white gold mesh bracelet. The silvery coloured dial features a rare diagonal linen texture, matching perfectly with that of the bracelet. Black lacquered stick shape hands indicate the time on slender indices. The crown is original, and bears the Omega logo.
Behind the solid gold case back is the beating heart of this watch: a mechanical hand-winding Omega movement with caliber reference 625. It contains 17 jewels and measures just 2.5mm thick. Thanks to the incorporation of this movement, the watch case can be kept as thin as 6mm. For such a sleek and refined watch, its total weight still adds up to about 33 grams.
The watch is sold as pre-owned and vintage, however it still is in good condition considering its age. You will find wear marks on the case and bracelet, but no overly coarse damage. Most notable is some of the white rhodium plating fading in certain places, exposing the more yellowish solid gold underneath. This is much more apparent in the pictures than it is in real life. The case has been cleaned thoroughly, but was left unpolished to maintain its original edges and curves. The sapphire crystal looks unscathed to the naked eye. The crown is original and signed with the Omega logo. Functionally, the watch has received a full service prior to sale and is working perfectly. The movement was entirely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and regulated. Please do note that the clasp has a small adjustment setting, but the bracelet on this watch is otherwise not drastically resizable.
