This Ruby Tank ring is made in 18 karat pinkish Yellow gold, we would say that it is yellow gold, but it has a more pinkish hue because it is an old ring, the perfect patina colour if you ask us. This type of ring is called a Tank ring thanks to to the Tanks of the Second World War. These tank rings where mostly created during the 40's and 50's and are a perfect example of the retro style. They are heavy, voluminous and many details.
A central line of baguette cut rubies steals the show, twelve smaller single cut diamonds give the ring some extra sparkle in their white coloured setting. We see a lovely butterfly in this ring, especially when you see the side of the ring with the swirling curls as its antennae. This treasure is not hallmarked, but has been tested for 18 karat solid gold. We adore this marvellous ring. It is Bombastic, yet elegant and a colourful sparkling jewel.
