For sale is a Zeppelin "100 Jahre" automatic chronograph watch with reference 7618-1, made in Germany and dating back to 2022 based on its warranty certificate. The case measures 42mm in diameter and just under 16mm in thickness, making it a fairly chunky watch with a vintage aviation inspired design language signature of the Zeppelin brand. This is a special edition, made to commemmorate the original era of Graf Zeppelin's legendary airships taking to the skies. Its dial comes in a bright matte silver finish with a date window found between the 4 and 5 O'clock position, which can be quickly adjusted using the top left pusher. The crown, although unsigned, is original. Blued steel Breguet style hands indicate the time, adding to the overall vintage look.
As indicated on the case back, the watch boasts water resistance up to 50m. Through said display case back, we can see the renowned Swiss Made ETA 7753 automatic chronograph movement, which is working perfectly. This calibre has been and is still widely used by the most renowned brands in watchmaking (Omega, Breitling, Longines, Tudor, Baume & Mercier...) and is known to be an absolute workhorse.
The example sold here has been worn, but is still in good cosmetic condition. You will find minor wear marks on the case, but no overly coarse damage. The sapphire crystal shows no damage or scratches to the naked eye. Fitted to the watch comes a brand new black Hirsch "Boston" leather strap with contrast stitching and the original Zeppelin buckle. A brown Hirsch "Boston" leather strap is also included, the quick release spring bars allowing the owner to change things up with ease. The original black leather Zeppelin strap is also present, but fairly worn.
