For sale is a Swiss Made Omega Genève Automatic, with double reference numbers 166.0173 and 366.0843 found in the case back. "366.0832" is actually the correct case reference for this watch with integrated bracelet, while "166.0173" is the reference number for the same case style but with traditional lugs for a leather strap. Everyone refers to the watch by "166.0173" regardless of the bracelet, so we did the same for convenience.

The watch presumably dates back to 1973 based on its serial number. Its stainless steel case measures approximately 36mm in width and 10mm in thickness, and seamlessly flows over into the original integrated bracelet. Behind the plexiglass crystal sits a relatively rare dark bronze or chocolate sunburst dial with fumé finish, transitioning to a darker colour towards the outer edge. White lacquered hands indicate the time on white and polished steel raised indices, contrasting nicely with the bronze tone. A date window can be found at the 3 O'clock position, which can be quickly adjusted using the original Omega signed crown. The watch is powered by a high quality Omega 1012 automatic movement, which is working perfectly.

The original stainless steel bracelet and clasp (1181/215) allow this watch to be worn on a wrist with a maximum circumference of around 18.5cm. Links can easily be removed to decrease the size. In order to increase the size past 18.5cm, spare links will have to be sourced online or at a dealership (which we can do upon request).

The example sold here has been worn, but is in decent condition considering its age. You will certainly find wear marks on the case and lugs, but no overly coarse damage. The case has been cleaned thoroughly, but was left unpolished to maintain its original edges and curves. A brand new Sternkreuz XAC 316.549 plexiglass crystal was fitted, which is identical to Omega's PZ5200 crystal minus the Omega hallmark in the center. The crown is original and signed with the Omega logo. The hands show minor signs of aging, but otherwise the watch face has stood the test of time well: the dial looks close to unscathed.

Functionally, the watch has received a full service prior to sale and is working perfectly. The movement was entirely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and regulated. Please study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is. We are sure that you like honesty, and so do we. Sold as watch only; sadly no original box or paperwork is present with this piece.

Your newly acquired timepiece will be packaged with great care, and will be shipped out as fast as possible. We usually ship the same day your payment comes in, and provide full insurance as well as a tracking code for all of our packages. If you have any questions regarding the item or our services, please do not hesitate to reach out. We'll gladly assist as soon as we get the chance!
