Pontiac may not be as famous since it is a brand with Belgian roots, but its craftsmanship is up to par with that of Swiss brands such as Omega. The watch features a stainless steel case which measures 34mm in diameter and just 10mm thick. The dial on this particular example comes in what looks to be a high gloss enamel finish, with very classic Arabic numerals reminiscent of 1920s pocket watch dials. Intricate leaf shaped hands indicate the time, and a date window can be found at the 3 O'Clock position. The watch is powered by a renowned Swiss Made ETA 2824 movement, which can also be found in a variety of more renowned brands such as Omega (renamed the Omega 1120), Baume & Mercier, ... The watch comes with a fitting black leather strap with generic buckle, to complete its vintage looks.
The example sold here has been worn throughout its life, but is still in good condition. The case has been cleaned entirely, but left unpolished to maintain its sharp edges and curves. You will find minor wear marks on the case and lugs, but no coarse damage. A brand new plexiglass crystal was fitted. The stunningly finished gold tone movement has been freshly serviced, and is working perfectly.
