For sale is a Swiss Made Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller "James Cameron" Ref. 136660, dating to 2023 based on its original paperwork. This iconic Rolex diver features a 44mm stainless steel case measuring 18mm in thickness. Equipped with Rolex's patented Ringlock System, helium escape valve and Triplock crown, it achieves an impressive 3900m water resistance rating. The watch features Rolex's famous "D-Blue" dial, gradually fading from deep blue to black with bright green "Deepsea" lettering. The D-Blue configuration became known among collectors as the "James Cameron", introduced in 2014 to commemorate James Cameron's 2012 solo descent to the Mariana Trench. Inside sits the Rolex calibre 3235 automatic movement, one of Rolex's most advanced modern calibres featuring the Chronergy escapement and extended power reserve. The watch has been inspected by our professional watchmaker and is currently functioning correctly, with no service deemed necessary.
The watch has been worn but remains in decent overall condition. The case and bracelet show normal signs of wear, most noticeably some deeper scratches on the case sides and clasp. The case has been cleaned but deliberately left unpolished to preserve its original edges, curves and finish. The bracelet has been lightly refinished to restore the appearance of its brushed surfaces. The sapphire crystal appears free from scratches under normal inspection. The dial remains clean, with crisp printing and an undamaged finish. Please study the photographs carefully, as they accurately represent the condition of the watch without digital enhancements. The watch is fitted with its original stainless steel Oyster bracelet featuring an Oysterlock clasp and Glidelock extension system. Said bracelet currently fits wrists up to approximately 19cm in circumference. In order to increase the size, spare bracelet links will have to be sourced online or at a Rolex dealership. Although the original box is not included, the watch comes with its Rolex warranty card dated May 2023, warranty card holder, Deepsea booklet, Worldwide Service booklet, original hang tag and one additional bracelet half-link.
