For sale is a Swiss Made Baume & Mercier "Hampton" men's quartz watch with reference number MV045224, presumably dating back to the early 2000s. The watch is characterised by its elongated curved tank shaped case. Said case measures approximately 26mm by 32.5mm and just under 8mm in thickness, crafted entirely from 18k solid yellow gold. The dial of this particular piece is finished in a lovely creamy white tone, matte on the outside with an intricate wavy pattern in the center. Polished gold tone numerals and hands as well as black lettering add a nice bit of contrast, with a small seconds sub dial found at the 6 O'clock position.
A curved sapphire crystal protects the watch face. The crown is original and bears the Baume & Mercier logo. The watch is powered by a high quality Swiss Made Baume & Mercier BM 10.163 quartz calibre, which received a fresh battery and is working perfectly. Fitted to the watch comes a generic brown leather strap with ostrich look and generic gold plated buckle.
The example sold here has been worn, but is still in good condition. You will find minor wear marks on the case, but no coarse damage. Said case was professionally polished to a nice shine, and is not overly polished: it still has its original edges and curves. The crystal has a number of scratches, most notably at 12 O'clock starting from the edge of the glass.
