This French dove is holding a wonderfully detailed rose which is decorated with two small pearls. This dove-charm is also called a "Saint Esprit" thanks to a bible story where a dove of saint esprit descended from heaven to our earth with wings spread. This was seen as a sign of power and as a symbol of love. This pendant was most common worn in Normandy in the 18th century. Furthermore these 'Saint Esprit' charms were worn by the elite and elegant woman. This sort of charm gains even more popularity in the 19th century in France.

This stunning charm is won a lot and has gone trough some repairs, although these are not visible at the front side. We love this true sign of love and think it will fit a very thin necklace perfectly! It is marked with two French eagle-heads, one on the champagne coloured rose and one on the yellow gold dove itself.
