On the bottom of the charm we see roses, roses have long been connected with Virgin Mary. In the fifth century Virgin Mary was referred to as a "rose among thorns". Known as the “queen of flowers”, the rose represents Mary as Queen of Heaven. The whole charm is encircled with a small dotted boarder giving it an even stronger appearance. This Antique pendant has a floral and warm look thanks to the foliate decoration encircling this religious scene.
The maker of this charm has chosen a now patinated yellow gold as the basis material. This lovely medallion is crafted in 18 karat yellow gold and hallmarked with a French eagle head mark. The back of this royal charm is decorated with the name 'Nicole' , the place 'Lourdes' and date '2 July 1931'.
