For sale is this stunning mother Mary charm. This cute charm depicts a lovely hand engraved Virgin Mary encircled by a yellow floral border. This Antique pendant has a floral and warm look thanks to the foliate decoration encircling this religious scene. The maker of this charm has chosen a pinkish yellow gold to make this beauty. This protecting medallion is crafted in 18 ct gold and hallmarked with a French eagle head.
Our heart skipped a beat when we first saw the back of this precious charm. It is engraved with France and with the date 1 February 1915. We love charms with engraved dates, especially when they date back as far as this one. This little thin charm is in fair condition considering its age, it has been loved and worn before and has some repairs at the bail, as visible in the pictures. The goldsmith used a bit too much gold to repair the bail, leaving a little dot inside the bail. It also carries many many dents. We adore it regardless, we maybe even love it more because of these dents, it tells a story.
