Offered for sale is a vintage Swiss Made Zenith "Stellina" men's dress watch, presumably dating back to the late 1960s. It features a gold plated case which measures 36mm in diameter, making it fairly large for its time. The dial on this particular example comes in a silvery champagne sunburst finish with raised gold tone and black indices, on which luminous stick shaped hands indicate the time. Inside the watch sits a high quality Zenith caliber 2542 manual winding movement, which is working perfectly. The watch comes fitted to a generic black leather strap with subtle ostrich texture and generic gold plated buckle, ready to wear.
The example sold here has been worn throughout its life, which is evident by a fair bit of wear marks. Most notably, the gold plating has faded a bit on the tips of the lugs and around the case back. Said case back shows some pitting from the watch being worn on a NATO bracelet at one point in its life. The case has been cleaned entirely, but was left unpolished to maintain its sharp edges and curves. A brand new plexiglass crystal was fitted. The crown appears to have been replaced at some point, as it is unsigned. The dial and hands have aged fairly well, the most notable damage being a blemish on the dial around the 3 O'clock position. The movement was freshly serviced, and is working perfectly.
