For sale is a vintage Swiss Made Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Ladies' watch with reference number 179173, dating back to the year 2006. It features a 26mm two-tone stainless steel case with fluted 18k solid yellow gold bezel. The dial on this particular example comes in a bright white finish with raised gold tone Roman numerals. Stick shaped hands indicate the time, and a calendar window can be seen at the 3 O'clock position through the signature Rolex lens bubble or "cyclop". Inside the watch sits a Rolex 2235 movement, a highly regarded automatic calibre used in many Rolex ladies' watches. The screw-down crown is original, made from solid 18k yellow gold and decorated with the Rolex crown logo. Fitted to the watch comes the original two tone Jubilee bracelet with 18k yellow gold center links, solid end links and 63133 clasp.
The example sold here has been worn throughout its life, but is still in decent overall condition considering its age. The dial and hands are looking really clean, with crisp text and undamaged finish. You will find wear marks on both the case and bracelet; most notable are some marks on the lugs. The case has been cleaned entirely, but was left unpolished to maintain its original edges and curves. The crystal was replaced for a Sternkreuz sapphire crystal, and is therefore brand new. The original but damaged Rolex crystal will be included with the sale. The Jubilee bracelet is in good condition still, with normal wear and flex. Please study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is. We are sure that you like honesty, and so do we. Functionally, the watch comes without service history but has been thoroughly checked and is working perfectly. Said set includes the original outer cardboard box and inner red leather box with pillow, as well as its paperwork: the chronometer attestation dating back to 2006, a certificate translation booklet, a 2005-2006 calendar card, plastic bezel protector and hang tag. With its original Jubilee bracelet, the watch will accommodate wrists with a circumference of up to approximately 16cm. Decreasing the size is easily done by removing some bracelet links. In order to extend the bracelet size past the current maximum of 16cm, spare links will have to be sourced online or at a dealership. Alternatively, any 13mm leather strap can be fitted in order to make the watch suit any wrist size.
