All original, freshly serviced and working perfectly: a vintage Swiss Made Sarcar men's dress watch with reference number 10/300F, presumably dating back to the early 1970s. It features a slender and refined gold plated case which measures 33mm in diameter and just a little over 7.5mm in thickness. The dial on this particular example comes in a beautiful gold tone with bark-like texture. Feuille-shaped black lacquered hands indicate the time on slender black and gold raised indices. The crown appears to be original, and features a deep blue sapphire cabochon stone.
Inside the watch sits a renowned Swiss made manual winding movement: the Peseux 7001, which is considered one of the most successful movements of its era. It is still in production to this day under the ETA brand, and is used by a variety of high quality Swiss watch brands such as Omega and Montblanc. The watch comes on a Hirsch Rainbow black leather strap with generic gold plated buckle and quick release spring bars, ready to wear.
The example sold here has been worn, but is in decent condition considering its age. You will find wear marks on the case and lugs, but no coarse damage. We only thoroughly cleaned the case but did not polish it to in order to maintain its original edges and curves, although it might have been polished earlier in life. A brand new plexiglass crystal was fitted. The dial and hands have stood the test of time well, with no notable defects to be found.
Functionally, the watch has received a full service prior to sale and is working perfectly. The movement was entirely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and regulated. Please study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is.
