For sale is a Swiss Made Frederique Constant "La Carrera Panamericana" watch with reference FC-435V6B6 or FC-435X6B6, dating back to 2012 based on its certificate. It was released as a limited edition of 1888 pieces to commemmorate the 24th edition of the legendary rally across Mexico, and this is example 427. The case measures 43mm in diameter and just under 11mm in thickness, making it a fairly large watch. Its dial comes in a creamy silver finish with luminous rose gold hands indicating the time on luminous rose gold raised indices. As part of the Limited Edition, the dial is adorned with the text "La Carrera Panamericana" as well as the logo of the race. The crown is original and signed with the Frederique Constant logo.
As indicated on the case back, the watch boasts water resistance up to 50m. Through said display case back, we can see the renowned Swiss Made Alpina AL-650-2 manual winding movement, which is working perfectly. Despite it being Alpina-branded (a sister brand of the Frederique Constant group), it is more commonly known as the legendary ETA or Unitas 6498 calibre, which has been and is still widely used by the most renowned brands in watchmaking and is known to be an absolute workhorse. The crown wheel is adorned with the race logo once more, and the train wheel bridge boasts a plaque with the limited edition number.
The example sold here has been worn, but is still in good cosmetic condition. You will find normal wear marks on the case, but no overly coarse damage. The sapphire crystal shows no damage or scratches to the naked eye.
