For sale is a vintage Swiss Made Hamilton "Lancaster" Chronograph watch with reference number 1915/1, presumably dating back to the early 1990s. It features a refined stainless steel case with gold tone accents, measuring approximately 36.5mm in diameter and just over 13mm in thickness. The fixed bezel features a tachymeter scale, with a gold tone ring around the crystal. Behind said domed crystal sits a gorgeous glossy blue dial with sunburst finish, contrasting nicely with the gold tone indices and hands. A date window can be found at 3 O'Clock, as well as a chronograph complication in 6-9-12 configuration.
Inside we find a high quality Swiss Made ETA 2892-2 calibre, a legendary automatic movement with 42 hours of power reserve. Equally legendary is the Dubois Depraz module mounted on top of said movement, responsible for the chronograph complication. This combination allows the watch to remain fairly small in diameter despite being a full-fledged automatic chronograph.
The watch comes with all three straps shown in the pictures: a Flieger-style cognac perforated leather strap, a dark blue NATO strap, and a dark blue leather strap with alligator look. This will allow the new owner to change things up every once in a while, as each strap gives the watch an entirely different look and feel. Evidently, any other bracelet or strap with 18mm lug width will fit this watch nicely.
The example sold here has been worn, but is in good condition considering its age. You will find wear marks on the case and lugs, but no overly coarse damage. Most notable is some wear to the gold plating of the ring around the crystal. The case has been cleaned thoroughly, but left unpolished to maintain its original edges and curves. The domed crystal is brand new and free from scratches. The crown is unsigned, but I believe it to be the original crown. The automatic movement was freshly serviced, and is working perfectly.
