For sale is a Japanese Made Seiko Solar Chronograph watch from their Prospex line, presumably from the early 2010s. The stainless steel case measures approximately 43mm in diameter, and features a bidirectionally rotating bezel with tachymeter scale. The matte black dial is finished with red and polished steel accents, with lumed indices and hands. The watch features a 1/5th split second chronograph as well as an alarm and calendar window. The crown is original, with knurled finishing around its circumference. Inside we find a high quality Japanese Seiko v172 quartz movement, which charges the battery through sunlight. This makes the watch very easy to maintain: no battery change is required, and even in the dark the watch will run for 6 months straight.
This example is sold as pre-worn, with visible yet fair wear marks. The case was cleaned but not polished, to maintain its sharp edges and lines. The bezel has some slight marks, but all text is still sharp. The most notable signs of wear can be found on the back of the bracelet and the clasp, in the shape of a few deeper scratches. The crystal is brand new, and is an original Seiko hardlex replacement part. The back gasket was freshly replaced as well. Please study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is. We are sure that you like honesty, and so do we. Comes as a watch only: sadly no original paperwork or box are accompanying this piece.
Fitted to the watch is the original stainless steel bracelet with signed clasp: it will fit wrists with a maximum circumference of approximately 18cm. Resizing the bracelet to fit smaller wrists can easily be done by removing some links. In order to increase the size of the bracelet past 18cm, extra bracelet links will have to be sourced online or at a dealership. Alternatively, the watch can be worn on any 20mm strap (such as a leather, rubber or NATO strap).
