For sale is a Swiss made Certina DS Podium PreciDrive men's quartz chronograph watch, with reference number C001647 presumably dating back to 2020. The oversize stainless steel case measures approximately 44mm in diameter and 13.5mm in thickness. The matte black dial features polished steel indices and red accents, well protected by a sapphire crystal. On said dial, a number of features can be found: a central 1/100 second chronograph hand, chronograph minutes register at 2 O'clock and chronograph hour register at the 10 O'clock position. At the 6 O'clock position we find a small seconds dial as well as a date window. Both the central hour and minute hands as well as the indices are luminous. The glossy black bezel features a tachymetre scale. Fitted to the watch is the original stainless steel bracelet with black center links and signed clasp. The screw-down crown is original and bears the "DS" logo.
The watch is powered by a high quality Swiss Made ETA 251.264 quartz calibre, which received a fresh battery and is working perfectly. The original bracelet currently fits wrists with a maximum circumference of around 17cm. Decreasing the size is easily done by removing some bracelet links. To increase the size past the current maximum, extra links will have to be sourced online. Any 22mm leather or NATO strap will fit, and will accommodate any wrist size.
The example sold here has been worn, but is still in fair condition. You will find wear marks on the case, bezel and bracelet. The sapphire crystal has a few minor scratches, mostly visible as lines in the coating under certain lighting conditions.
