All original, freshly serviced and working perfectly: a vintage Swiss Made Movado pocket watch. This piece dates back to the early 1920s, and boasts a solid 18k yellow gold "full hunter" case which measures 51mm in diameter. The "hunter" case features a clamshell design with a spring-hinged cover that closes over the watch dial and crystal. Said lid effectively protects the watch from damage, scratches or dust, and is decorated with an Art Deco style pattern. The watch face features an off-white dial with black Arabic numerals and an outside railroad minute track. Blued steel Breguet style hands indicate the time, while a sub dial at the 6 O'Clock position counts down the seconds.
Inside we find a stunning Swiss Made Movado movement, which sadly has no mention of the caliber number anywhere. It is a high quality movement though, as it features a Breguet overcoil hairspring, as well as gold chatons for the rubies.
The watch was lovingly restored with eye for authenticity. Its movement was completely disassembled, cleaned and lubricated, and is now working perfectly for years to come. The outside case has been cleaned entirely as well, but left unpolished to maintain its patina and originality. A brand new plexiglass crystal was fitted, as the original was missing. In all, a very well preserved and fully functional piece of history.
