For sale is a Swiss Made Baume & Mercier "Fleetwood" men's automatic dress watch with reference number 3137.018, dating back to 1994. It features an intriguingly designed case measuring 37mm in diameter and just 8mm in thickness. The dial on this particular example comes in a combination of silver sunburst and waffle texture finish. Equally intriguingly shaped syringe hands indicate the time on Roman numerals, and a calendar window can be found at the 3 O'clock position. Inside the watch cosily sits a high quality ETA 2892-2 automatic movement, which is working perfectly. The watch comes fitted to a brand new dark brown leather strap with generic stainless steel buckle.
The example sold here has been worn throughout its life, but is still in decent condition considering its age. You will find some wear marks on the case when closely examining the watch, most notably on the gold bezel. The case is unpolished and therefore in original shape. The dial is in good overall condition still, with a slight deformation between the 8 and 9 O'clock position. The crown is original and boasts the Baume & Mercier logo. Please study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is. Functionally, the watch has been freshly serviced, and is working perfectly. The movement is still being produced by ETA today, albeit with a few upgrades/fixes for flaws that were discovered throughout the years: all of these fixes were applied to this movement, to ensure optimal performance for the watch. Evidently only original parts were used. Comes as a watch only: sadly no original box or paperwork are accompanying this piece.
